Weese+Design has introduced a new collection of custom rugs. Six patterns are available in a fresh palette of Tibetan wool and silk colors. The Flora Collection is inspired by the beauty and whimsy of the garden. Bloom, Berry, Flower, Grow, Bud and Leaf are available in a myriad of colors related to working in the garden both above the soil and beneath. Please take a look at this new line of custom rugs from Weese+Design.
Custom Rugs From Tibetan Sheep
These custom rugs are hand knotted by Tibetans to last many lifetimes. Tibetan rugs are known for extreme durability and luster. The wool is harvested from sheep that live on the Tibetan plateau at 15,000 feet. To keep warm at high altitude, the sheep grow a longer coat and produce more lanolin as an insulator. This lanolin acts as a natural soil repellent in the rug and the thicker twist adds durability. Tibetan rugs are woven to last many lifetimes.
Durability of Tibetan Custom Rugs
I use my Tibetan rugs as walk off mats at my front and back doors in order to test their durability. Just soak stains with cold water and blot. Vacuum mud and dirt when dry. These rugs hold up beautifully under Henry’s 85 pounds!
